#SHOWBIZ: Rossa features story of her divorce in new film

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Indonesian singer Datuk Seri Rossa is happy to talk about her journey to musical stardom in her new movie All Access to Rossa, 25 Shining Years.

Rossa, 46, said in a Berita Harian report yesterday that it was an honour to have the film screened in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

"I'm so happy that Malaysians are going to catch my new movie in cinemas nationwide. And I'm also happy that Yayasan Prihatin is promoting the film for its positive messages," she said.

Rossa added that the film marked her 25th anniversary as a recording artiste and highlighted the ups and downs of her journey thus far.

"It has lots of footage from my past events and interviews, in both countries. My manager loves to collect such footage, and we both thought it would be great to come up with an anniversary movie later," she said.

Rossa added that she was "open" about her divorce from her former husband, Padi drummer Yoyo and this was featured prominently in the film.

"We both got our son Rizky Langit Ramadan's nod for it to be featured, and he agreed."

The film will be screened in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei on Oct 18.
