Cops waiting for post-mortem results on singer-YouTuber Nidza's death

SHAH ALAM: Police are waiting for the post-mortem results on the death of singer and YouTuber Muhammad Nidza Afham, 23, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain today.

He said this when asked if police could rule out criminal element in his death.

"We are waiting for the post-mortem result. His handphone and wallet were found on the (Sungai Klang) bridge."

He said this following the passing-out parade for the Student's Police Volunteer Reserve Corp at Universiti Teknologi Mara here today.

He said Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan would release an update on the case later.

Police had requested the public's help to locate a 23-year-old man missing since Aug 13.

Nidza left his house in Bandar Puteri Klang on Tuesday at 7.45pm, wearing a blue-black shirt.

He took the e-hailing inDrive to Sultan Sulaiman Stadium to go jogging.

His girlfriend contacted him at 9.04pm but was unable to reach him.

His sister, using a phone search app, went to his last known location, Sungai Klang Bridge, and found his phone and wallet, containing his identification card and student card.

His automated teller machine card was missing.

The next day, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said it had found the body of a man near the bridge.

Police said the body was believed to be that of Nidza.
