KUALA LUMPUR: The younger brother of actor Farid Kamil, Fadzil Zahari, recently shared words of encouragement amid Farid's ongoing domestic issues.
Through an Instagram post featuring childhood photos of himself and Farid, Fadzil, 41, expressed his support and included the phrase, "ma fi qalbi ghairullah", which translates to "there is none in my heart but God."
Fadzil explained: "The meaning behind ma fi qalbi ghairullah is a reminder to trust in God alone. When we place our hopes in people, disappointment may follow, but trusting in God offers comfort. I encourage my brother to look to God for guidance as he considers his next steps."
While acknowledging some awareness of Farid's situation, Fadzil emphasised the importance of respecting personal boundaries, especially in matters of marriage.
"As family, we may know certain things, but personal matters, especially between partners, are sensitive. I encourage him, but I can't influence his choices. Only he can decide what's best, and I pray that God guides him," Fadzil told Harian Metro.
He added that sometimes, in moments of anger, misunderstandings can arise.
"When people are upset, false stories may spread. As his brother, I'll always pray for the best for him, but ultimately, he must seek guidance from God to find the right path forward."
Fadzil, who is married to actress Yana Samsudin, also expressed hope that God would ease the challenges his brother and family are facing.
In October last year, Fadzil had publicly supported Farid's decision to reunite with actress Diana Danielle on Aug 31 for the sake of their children.
However, on Monday, Diana announced her decision to separate, sharing the news on Instagram without providing specific reasons.
Farid and Diana, who tied the knot on Nov 3, 2012, have two children together, Muhammad, 10, and Nur Aurora, 8.
Their relationship has faced challenges, with a previous legal divorce on Aug 10, 2023, followed by a brief reconciliation.
