#SHOWBIZ: Chef Wan provides up to RM3,000 allowance to siblings, ex-wife

KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity chef Datuk Redzuan Ismail, a.k.a. Chef Wan, prioritises charity works by sharing his wealth with family members and the less fortunate.

After the passing of his mother, Noraini Abdullah, early last year, he had hoped to be able to take care of the people around him.

In a recent TikTok video, the 66-year-old personality said that the provides a monetary allowance of up to RM3,000 to his siblings and ex-wife.

"I give all my siblings an allowance, you can ask them. One RM3,000, another RM2,000, like pension money. I take care of all my brothers and sisters.

"My ex-wife, everyone gets it. After my mother passed away," he said.

The father of two added that he was a balanced person who would rather be useful to the community by channelling his wealth to those that really needed it.

"I'm very balanced. Money is money. Earlier my chef also said for cancer, 'many chefs are donating funds this year' I said, 'no problem, it's for charity'.

"Let us die poor. Let us have less wealth having done many more charitable works.

"Better to channel the money towards charity, to where it is really needed.

"Like those in trouble, the handicapped, autistic, blind, the old folks home," he said.
