KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean actor Song Jae-rim was found dead in his home according to the Seoul Seongdong Police Station. He was 39.
The Korea Herald reported that the actor had died on Thursday and an official from the police station had said that there was no evidence of foul play.
According to Soompi, the authorities also found a two-page letter at the scene but the content of the letter has not been disclosed.
The cause of Song's death has also yet to be revealed.
Song's funeral is being held at the Yeouido St. Mary's Funeral Hall in Seoul.
The actor recently changed his Instagram profile message to "A long journey begins", while his last IG post dated back 41 weeks.
His activity on the X platform stopped in March.
Born in 1985, Song gained attention through his debut role in the 2012 drama series, The Moon Embracing the Sun.
His other popular TV dramas include Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, Inspiring Generation, Two Weeks, and Queen Woo.
Song's feature film credits include Grand Prix, The Suspect, and Bait.
Most recently, the actor performed in the stage musical, La Rose De Versailles, with his last performance taking place Oct 13.
Song's coffin is to be borne out on Thursday, with a ceremony scheduled for noon.
