#SHOWBIZ: AC Mizal denies unpaid wages allegations, taking legal action

KUALA LUMPUR: The owner of Suke TV, Datuk AC Mizal, has denied accusations regarding the failure to pay his employees' salaries.

AC, whose real name is Mizal Zaini, addressed the claims made by a former employee on social media, describing them as false and defamatory.

In a video statement to the media, AC, 53, said: "The allegations about Suke TV failing to pay three months' salary are completely untrue and malicious."

"I have instructed my lawyer and Suke TV to take immediate legal action against those spreading these false claims. Let the court decide the truth."

AC explained that the accusations came from former employees, some of whom were terminated for breaching the terms of their contracts.

"We have all the evidence, but we won't be revealing it publicly. We trust the legal process to handle the matter," he added.

AC also clarified that while he was not obligated to respond, he felt it necessary to address the issue publicly to avoid further misunderstandings.

"I didn't need to respond to these irresponsible viral claims. But since the matter is widely discussed, I want to clear the air," he said.

AC urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.

"We are open to discussions with any party through the proper channels. Please avoid using social media for personal agendas," he said.

The controversy erupted when a former employee accused the TV station of withholding three months' salary, as well as failing to contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organization (Perkeso).
