#SHOWBIZ: All Star Influencers Award recognises top influencers from 8 Asian countries

KUALA LUMPUR: The All Star Influencers Award (ASIA) 2024 is set to become a prestigious platform recognising the top influencers from eight Asian countries, including Malaysia.

ASIA chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Rahman Soltan said that the award brings together digital talents and influencers from diverse cultural backgrounds with the aim of celebrating and honouring individuals who make a positive impact in the digital world.

He said: "With over 300 million followers across Asia, ASIA 2024 is more than just a celebration, it is part of a larger vision to connect Asia through digital influence.

"We are building a network of influence that inspires, fosters creativity, and strengthens cross-cultural ties."

He added: "Our core mission is to provide a platform that harnesses the power of social media to drive positive change on a global scale."

Abdul Rahman said that the event scheduled for next month sees influencers from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia compete in 13 categories.

"Beyond the awards night, influencers with millions of followers will participate in three days of art and cultural activities in Melaka."

In addition, this year's second edition of the awards aligns with the Visit Melaka Year 2024 campaign, showcasing Malaysia's beauty and cultural diversity to Asia.

Abdul Rahman said that ASIA 2024 aims to advance Asia's digital influence industry while encouraging sustainable social development.

"This award isn't just about celebrating individual achievements, it's about shaping a future that is more connected and sustainable.

"We want influencers and brands to create campaigns that capture attention and inspire young people to make a lasting impact.

"With this forward-looking vision, we hope ASIA will become a platform that unites cultures and showcases the immense potential of Asian influencers to the world," he said.

He noted that ASIA 2024 offered a significant platform for influencers to connect with their fans in Malaysia.

Last year's inaugural ASIA edition honoured renowned Indonesian influencer Ahieb Reborn, who won the grand award as Best Social Media Influencer, taking home RM47,300.

The Best Editing category was awarded to Hermansyah from Indonesia, who received RM14,200, while the Best Storyteller award worth RM4,730 went to Tikaolaa from Indonesia, and the People's Choice award worth RM4,730 was won by Syellaisk of Indonesia.
