#SHOWBIZ: Iedil Dzuhrie takes on horror for Pierre Andre

ACTOR Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin expressed his admiration for Pierre Andre, saying it was the main reason he agreed to star in the upcoming horror film 'Jangan Pandang Belakang 2 (JPB2) — Aku Tahu Asal Usulmu'.

Despite avoiding horror films due to personal fears, Iedil couldn't pass up the chance to work with Pierre, who has been out of the spotlight for nearly a decade.

"I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to horror films.

"In Indonesia, I acted in 'Kajiman' because it was a dream to work with Adriyanto Dewo.

"Similarly, when I learned Pierre was directing JPB2, I agreed without hesitation," he told 'Berita Harian'.

Iedil, now based in Indonesia where he runs Casa Dream Studio with his wife, actress Prisia Nasution, is committed to maintaining his acting career in Malaysia.

"I don't mind commuting if the production covers travel costs," he said.

Beyond acting, Iedil and Prisia are focusing on producing films.

"My wife has directed two films, and we're planning six more.

"Our mission is to create impactful works across the Nusantara region, fostering collaborations between Malaysian and Indonesian artists," he said.

The couple also aims to establish a script incubator programme to strengthen Southeast Asian cinema.

On his experience working abroad, Iedil dismissed the notion of bullying on set.

"The level of professionalism is there and clear boundaries are set.

"Maintaining a positive attitude is key to creating a comfortable working environment for everyone," he added.
