KUALA LUMPUR: Jangan Pandang Belakang 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2007's horror film Jangan Pandang Belakang will be screened in 14 countries including Malaysia next month.
According to Harian Metro, producer David Teo of Metrowealth International Group (MIG) said that the film will also be screened in Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey and Russia.
"Jangan Pandang Belakang 2 will premiere in Malaysia on Nov 21, and a week or a month later in the other countries.
"Jangan Pandang Belakang was only screened in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand," he said.
Teo added that in some of the countries, Jangan Pandang Belakang 2 will be their first Malaysian film to hit cinemas.
"As for our target collections, we hope to achieve RM30 million.
"Jangan Pandang Belakang took home RM7.4 million in 2007 when tickets were priced RM6 to RM8, compared to RM20 today."
Jangan Pandang Belakang 2 is once again directed by actor-directoer Pierre Andre and stars Emma Maembong, Khatijah Tan, Mawar Rashid and Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin.
