KAMUNTING: It has been six hours since 60 firefighters tried to battle the intense blaze following a fire which gutted a rubber glove factory in Jalan Logam 4, Kamunting Raya here.
The fire broke out at 11.20am involving a 3.5ha site.
Kamunting Fire and Rescue Department chief Taufiq Abd Sattar said some 150 workers, who were inside the factory at the time, managed to escape unhurt.
As of press time, the operation to put out the blaze is still ongoing.
