MUAR: A traffic policeman and a female driver in her 40s were injured in an accident involving the traffic policeman's patrol motorcycle and two other cars in Jalan Besar Pagoh, near here at 7.45am today.
Lance corporal Allfian Omar broke his right leg and left hand after his motorcycle involved in a head-on collision with the woman's Proton Saga Aeroback.
Allfian and his machine were thrown into a nearby ditch upon impact of the collision.
Muar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Ayob said initial investigation revealed the woman behind the wheel of the Proton Saga Aeroback attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of her, but she ended up going into Allfian's path.
The woman was tailed closely by a Proton Pesona, which ended up crashing into the rear of her Proton Saga Aeroback.
The Muar Fire and Rescue department personnel arrived to help the woman as she was pinned in the driver's seat of her badly-mangled car.
