GEORGE TOWN: Two street artworks within the heritage enclave at Lebuh Armenian, here, have been vandalised with yellow paint splashed over the wall today.
The iconic “Little Children on a Bicycle” mural was splashed with the paint. Another piece of wall metal artwork depicting a rickshaw was also vandalised.
Meanwhile, a car parked at one narrow lane and a metal roller shuttler were also not spared from the vandalism.
The incident has sparked a public outcry and included heritage conservationists, street artists and residents nearby.
Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng said the vandalism had also happened at many spots in Lebuh Armenian.
