KUALA LUMPUR: Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin took time off his busy schedule to check on the ERL train service, today.
Hamzah, who took the ERL train from Putrajaya Sentral to KL Sentral wanted to see first hand how the express service operated.
He went around talking to train passengers asking them about the train rates and services.
Hamzah said he was pleased to hear feedback from passengers, who were pleased with the ERL.
He said most locals were frequent users of the ERL while foreigners found rates to be cheaper than trains in their own country.
"A lot of the passengers find the ERL to be convenient and on time.
"My visit today is part of the government's effort to hear the voices of the people from the ground and help resolve issues," he said.
He added that the public were also pleased to see a minister taking time to meet the consumers while trying to understand their needs.
