KUCHING: DAP unveiled 10 promises to Sarawakians in its manifesto themed, 'Dare to Change, Sharing of Wealth for the People' unveiled for the 11th Sarawak General Elections.
Among the promises made include providing free bus services in major towns such as Kuching, Miri, Bintulu and Sibu, besides tripling the number of buses.
Also unveiled were promises to share forest products fairly, sharing of land by all, the creation of jobs as well as improvement to Internet reach.
Besides this, DAP also promised to improve security, transparency in administration, a multi-racial civil service, as well as autonomy in taxation and education.
DAP Sarawak chairman Chong Chieng Jen claimed the party's manifesto had more clarity and focus compared to Barisan Nasional's manifesto, which he said was general in nature.
"Although there were a few populist policies announced by Chief Minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem recently, he is not implementing any improvements, or making any changes to the system," he said after announcing the DAP manifesto here today.
