Six NGOs urges police, Home Ministry to probe British paedophile case

KUALA LUMPUR: Six non-governmental organisations today urged the police and Home Ministry to conduct a thorough probe into the case of British paedophile Richard Huckle who had molested children during his stay in Malaysia.

The reports were lodged by Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM) president Abdul Rani Kulup Abdullah, who represented the six organisations.

"The crimes committed by Huckle are heinous as they left the victims traumatised.

"Such an ordeal would also affect the victims' future," said Rani after lodging the report at Dang Wangi district police headquarters here.

He also urged the parents of the victims to come forward to aid investigation.

Other NGO represented were Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia, Ikatan Usahawan Kecil dan Sederhana Malaysia, Akhlak Rahsia Cekal, Gerak Kerja Gabungan Ayahanda Selangor as well as the Kipidap group.
