Red Shirts' Jamal Yunos arrested at KLIA

KUALA LUMPUR: Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Jamal Yunos was detained at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this morning.

The arrest, made about 8.30am upon his arrival from Dubai, was believed to be over the altercation between his Red Shirts supporters and Bersih supporters.

It is also believed to be over a seditious Facebook posting made under his name, which Jamal has denied making.

"I was arrested at the KLIA this morning by the Federal police after arrived from abroad. They are taking me to Dang Wangi police headquarters," he said.

He will be taken to the Dang Wangi police station to aid the investigations over police reports lodged against him.
