Body with crocodile bite wound found floating in Sarawak river

KUCHING: The body of a man was found floating in Sungai Baya, Skrang, about 150 kilometres from here yesterday with a crocodile bite on the left shoulder.

According to a spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department, the victim, identified as Aji anak Inyau, 73, from the Jangin Kejemut longhouse, Skrang, in Sri Aman division, was reported missing by his wife last Wednesday after he failed to return home.

He said Aji's body was found by villagers who were involved in a search and rescue operation at about 7.30am yesterday.

The body was then sent to the Sri Aman Hospital for a post mortem. – BERNAMA
