BENTONG: Police arrested 48 participants, including 39 men, for going all out and blatantly exposing themselves during a supposedly sporting activity at a resort near here yesterday.
The participants, aged between 19 and 23, were allegedly taking part in a game, organised by a private company at what was said to be a motivational camp. The game was conducted at the playground within the resort’s compound on Saturday.
District police chief Superintendent Mohamad Mansor Mohd Nor said the department received a complaint around 6pm yesterday informing them of the male participants, who were stark-naked, taking part in physical activities, out in the open.
He said investigations revealed that 39 youths were involved in the camp and another nine were representatives from the company tasked to facilitating the event.
“The participants were involved in a game known as ‘All Out’, where they were required to form a long line by using materials pasted on their bodies.
“It was during the game that the participants began removing their clothes to form the line, and this continued until they were completely naked,” he said.
Mansor said the resort manager claimed they only prepared food, equipment and accommodation, and were informed on the tentative outline of the programme, but that they were not specifically briefed regarding the game.
He said a team sent to the resort had nabbed the participants when they were involved in another the activity at the resort hall at 12.30am this morning.
The individuals arrested are being investigated under Section 294 (a) of the Penal Code for indecent exposure, which can land them in jail for three months, a fine or both upon conviction.
