GEORGE TOWN: Two men were burnt to death when the car they were travelling in caught fire at KM2.7 of the southbound stretch of Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah bridge here today.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said that the department received the distress call at 8.25am.
He said a team of seven firemen in one fire truck rushed to the scene.
"At the scene, the team found a Proton Persona taxi completed razed by fire and there were two victims in the car," he told reporters here yesterday.
He said the fire was extinguished at 8.48am.
