PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has received a report that an Umno Supreme Council member was allegedly involved in the misappropriation of funds in a software development project.
An MACC source said the project was believed to have been for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
The source said police have handed over a report that they have received from the public.
“MACC will look into the report first before we open the investigation paper on this alleged misappropriation.
“If necessary, we will call the individuals involved to have their statements recorded to facilitate the investigation,” the source said.
MACC will also work with the MCMC to gather more information.
