Man shot twice in Bandar Sunway had past criminal record

KUALA LUMPUR: The 32-year-old man who was shot twice at Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, today, had a past criminal record for robbery and theft.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said early investigations revealed three assailants entered the premises and two of them shot the victim.

"Police arrived at the scene and found the victim, 32, bleeding due to gunshot wounds. The victim died when he arrived at Serdang Hospital.

"The forensics team at the crime scene discovered two bullet casings, bullet fragments, a bullet shell, two blood swabs, and a pair of slippers at the crime scene," he said in a statement.

Police on duty at the Bandar Sunway information counter were made aware of the incident at 1.35pm.

The shooting is believed to have occurred at 1.30pm at a handphone accessories shop along PJS11/28.

The investigation is being carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder which carries the death penalty.
