Police confirm report on Kuala Krai school bullying case

KUALA KRAI: Police today have confirmed receiving a report on a bullying incident involving a school pupil here recently.

District police chief, Superintendent Suzaimi Mohamad said the report was lodged by the victim's father yesterday.

"The report was lodged at the district police station at about 10.55am yesterday morning.

"In the report, the father claimed that his son was bullied by two other students after seeing a video on the incident recently," he said in a statement.

Suzaimi said the 14-second video clip also went viral on social media.

He said the video showed two students bullying another student and the incident happened at the back of a school here.

"Following the incident, police have investigated the case and our initial investigation showed that the incident happened at about noon on Sept 14.

"The victim was outside his classroom when suddenly two suspects began to hit him repeatedly.

"Medical check-ups on the victim showed that he did not suffer any injuries or bruises," he said.

He added that the two suspects, both 11, are studying at the same school.

"Both have been called by the police for further investigation," he added.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
