KUALA LUMPUR: A dead body was found inside a parked car near Kota Damansara today.
The shocking incident came to light when an attendee participating in a car boot sale in Damansara shared the distressing discovery on the X platform.
In a rather unsettling discovery, reports indicate that the body had been inside the car for approximately three to four days, initially mistaken for the scent of animal waste.
The attention-grabbing moment occurred when a visitor noticed the bloated figure inside the vehicle.
"There was an unmistakable foul odour, initially confused for animal faeces, wafting from a considerable distance. Soon after, a person lying down, resembling a swollen balloon, was observed.
"The onlookers took a while to realise, possibly owing to the heavy rain," as detailed in the post.
Inside the car, on the dashboard, a note accompanied by a copy of the deceased's identification card was discovered.
The poignant message read: "Please call my brother or my sister."
The New Straits Times has reached out to authorities to verify and obtain further information on the matter.
