Civil servant remanded seven days in Nur Farah Kartini murder investigation [WATCH]

HULU SELANGOR: Police have obtained a seven-day-long remand order against the civil servants arrested in connection the murder of 25-year-old Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah.

Judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza granted the remand order against the suspect, 26, believed to be the boyfriend of the victim, when the latter was produced at the magistrate's court in Kuala Kubu Baru here this morning.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

It is understood that the suspect was detained when he was summoned to the Gedangsa police station to help the police to locate Nur Farah Kartini last week.

Earlier today, it was reported that a police car brought the suspect to the court at about 8.50am. He was seen wearing a face mask and dressed in orange police lock-up overalls.

Nur Farah Kartini was found dead near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor yesterday.

The 25-year-old victim's body was discovered about 6pm, believed to be murdered by a known assailant.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the discovery of her remains and said a suspect had been arrested.

It was reported that the victim had gone missing after delivering a rental car to a customer.
