SHAH ALAM: Police have confirmed that the 26-year-old suspect arrested in investigations into the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah is her boyfriend.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the suspect was arrested to facilitate investigations into her disappearance before he led the police to the body at a palm oil estate in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor yesterday.
"We are still investigating the motive of the incident," he said before adding that the suspect was brought to the Kuala Kubu Bharu magistrates court for a remand application this morning.
Sarawakian Nur Farah Kartini had been reported missing since Wednesday, after she allegedly went to deliver a car for rent to a customer.
Her remains were found yesterday evening at a secluded area in an oil palm estate in Hulu Selangor.
It was reported that the victim is believed to have been murdered by someone known to the victim.
Hussein had also confirmed that the body which the suspect led police to is indeed the woman reported missing on July 10.
