SUNGAI BULOH: Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah is believed to have been murdered several days before her body was found.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said this was based on the level of decomposition of the body.
"Based on the level of decomposition of the body, we believe the victim died a few days prior to the body being discovered.
"The injuries sustained by the victim also have yet to be determined. No weapon was found at the scene either," he said when contacted on Tuesday.
He said it is too early to determine the motive for the murder.
"We await the post mortem results to learn more on this case," he said.
Nur Farah Kartini was reported missing on July 11.
The victim, who worked at a car rental company, helped deliver a rental car to a customer at a residential area at Tanjung Malim around 8am on July 10.
She was allegedly seen leaving in a red-coloured car after completing the delivery.
Her body was found near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor at around 6pm on Monday.
A lance corporal has been arrested in connection with the murder.
