Smartphone believed to have belonged to Nur Farah Kartini found

SUNGAI BULOH: A smartphone believed to have belonged to Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah was found in a drain at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Bernam.

The device was discovered by the Selangor police sub-aquatic forensic unit at 12.21pm.

Police also brought a 26-year-old suspect to the scene for identification of Nur Farah Kartini's smartphone.

The search for other evidence is ongoing.

Nur Farah Kartini, 25, was found dead in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang around 6pm on Monday.

She had been reported missing since July 11 after delivering a rental car to a customer.

Perak police confirmed that the suspect is a lance corporal and has been in service for five years.

The suspect has been remanded until July 22 to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
