Police hunt for motorcyclist suspected of smashing car windshield

SUBANG JAYA: Police looking for a motorcyclist suspected of smashing the rear windshield of a car along Jalan SS14 here.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the incident occurred at around 10.40am on July 14.

"The complainant, a 42-year-old, interpreter, was driving a Perodua MyVi with her husband during the incident.

"A motorcycle was tailing their vehicle and as they were turning right into Jalan Jengka SS17, they heard a loud crashing sound toward the rear of the vehicle," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

He said the complainant checked the rear of the vehicle and found that the rear windshield was smashed.

"Both the complainant and her husband claimed that they have not had any problems and did not know who the motorcyclist was.

"The motorcyclist was recorded via the rear-facing dashcam of the car," he said adding that the case was being investigated for committing mischief and causing damage upwards of RM25 under Section 427 of the Penal Code.

He said they were currently looking for the suspect involved.
