KUALA LUMPUR: A woman's morning jog took a horrific turn when four masked men ambushed her and attempted to kidnap her in Miri, Sarawak.
The woman however managed to break free, sustaining injuries in the process.
Miri police chief Assistant Superintendent Alexson Naga Chabu said a police report was lodged on the incident which happened around 4.30am on July 28.
According to Borneo Post, Alexson said the woman was jogging alone when four suspects in a dark purple Perodua Azla stopped near her.
"Two suspects got out of the vehicle and grabbed her hands, causing her to fall and sustain injuries to both elbows and her left knee.
"According to the victim, the suspects were unarmed and she could not identify them or the vehicle's registration number," he said.
He said police were probing the incident.
Alexson advised the public to take precautions and be aware of their surroundings.
He also advised the public against speculating on the case as it could cause anxiety.
