GEORGE TOWN: A housewife was charged at the magistrate's court here today with cheating a woman of RM116,256 to obtain gold items being auctioned by the state police contingent headquarters here last year.

Nuur Thibrani Mohamed Ibrahim, 35, claimed trial to the charge which was read to her by the court interpreter before magistrate Siti Nurul Suhaila Baharin.

The mother-of-three is alleged to have deceived Noriza Bahari, 53, into believing that she was able to obtain gold items being auctioned by the state police contingent headquarters which led Noriza to hand over a sum of RM116,256 to her through four bank accounts.
