SERI ALAM: Police arrested three people, including a woman, and seized an arsenal of weapons during a drug raid at a house in Pasir Gudang, here, on Monday.
Among the seized items in the 2.30pm raid were an air pistol with a magazine loaded with nine metal pellets, and a modified rubber launcher "shotgun".
Police also uncovered a kerambit, a sword, metal pellets packed in a transparent plastic bag, and three gas cylinders for use in the air pistol.
The house is suspected to have been used by the trio as a distribution hub for contraband.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said police also seized 184 methamphetamine-laced Yaba pills, ecstasy pills, a bag containing a white powder suspected to be heroin, a bag of crystalline powder believed to be methamphetamine, and 10 foil-wrapped packets containing 83 Erimin 5 pills, with an estimated street value of RM7,000.
The three suspects, aged between 27 and 38, were remanded for seven days.
All have prior records related to drug and criminal offences.
"The suspects will face charges under the Arms Act 1960 and the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958 for possession of firearms, ammunition, and dangerous weapons.
"Investigations are also ongoing under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug trafficking," Sohaimi said in a statement, today.
