KUALA LUMPUR: A former research assistant to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be charged at the High Court today.
This follows reports that the ex-aide Muhammed Yusoff Rawther was arrested last week after police found two pistols and ganja in the car he was travelling in.
Last night, Yusoff's lawyer, Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali said he was informed his client would be charged today.
"The details of the charge will only be available tomorrow (today)."
"A press conference will be held after he is charged."
Yesterday, Rafique said Yusoff has denied any connection to the pistols and drugs, claiming they were planted to frame him by individuals with personal vendettas.
A urine test also came back negative.
Yusoff was arrested on Friday morning in KL and has been under remand since.
