DUNGUN: The female driver charged with three counts of murdering Dungun Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) students is undergoing treatment and her psychiatric report has yet to be completed.
Deputy public prosecutor and state prosecution director Azizan Abdullah said the hospital had requested an extension for the accused's treatment.
"We are waiting for the medical report of Norizan Ismail, 49, who has no prior record of psychiatric treatment.
"Therefore, the hospital has requested an order under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code to extend her detention to finalise the mental health report," he said during case mention at the Dungun magistrate's court today.
The accused, who was not present in court, was represented by her lawyer, Norhabibah Norulalzahar.
Magistrate Nur Amira Fatihah Osman set Dec 17 for the next case mention.
