JOHOR BARU: The Johor Immigration Department detained 15 foreign nationals during a midnight raid at Taman Cempaka on Dec 2.
Those detained comprised eight men and seven women, aged 18 to 52. Of those detained, 10 are Myanmar nationals, while the rest are Indonesians.
Immigration Director Datuk Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus said a total of 268 people were screened during the operation.
"Ops Sapu was conducted following weeks of surveillance and public complaints," he said in a statement.
Rusdi said the 15 people detained are suspected of violating immigration laws, including overstaying and not possessing valid permits.
