KUALA PILAH: Newly-appointed Kuala Pilah district deputy police chief Superintendent Syahrul Anuar Abd Wahab has pledged to combat crime and provide the best services to the community.
Syahrul Anuar, 38, was previously Melaka Tengah police district headquarters’ senior investigating officer in the Criminal Investigation Division and has more than 10 years’ experience in crime and forensics.
He replaces DSP Mohamad Abas, who retired in January this year.
"I will do my best to reduce the crime rate in the district," the Kota Baru native told reporters after the handing-over-of-duties ceremony at the Kuala Pilah police headquarters here today.
The handing-over ceremony was witnessed by district police chief Superintendent Haslah Bachok.
