KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines flight en route to Kuala Lumpur made a turn back to London today due to an onboard medical emergency.
Malaysia Airlines, in a Facebook posting, said MH3 was flying over Germany, three hours after takeoff when the captain was informed of the situation.
“(The captain)..made a decision to turn back for medical assistance,” said the airline.
The airline said MH3 landed safely and a team of paramedics was on standby to attend to the affected passenger upon arrival.
The airline will advise on the new departure time for the flight.
The Facebook post received positive feedback from social media users, who lauded the captain’s decision in making the air turnback.
