SHAH ALAM: The coastal areas in Klang, Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat, Sabak Bernam and Sepang in Selangor have experienced a slight overflow but the situation is under control.
They have not been affected by the high tide phenomenon so far, said the state Fire and Rescue Department.
Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said: "The overflow is minimal and not serious. It is safe and the bunds and embankments are in good condition."
He added a relief centre in Maahad Tahfiz Integrasi Selangor in Bagan Lalang, Sepang was ready should there be an evacuation.
