KUALA LUMPUR: Orchid lovers looking for the best deal in town should head for the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here, where the Kampung Bukit Cerakah Nursery booth is offering a range of deals in conjunction with the 71st Umno General Assembly.
Open from today until Saturday, the booth is offering up to eight different orchid varieties for between RM50 and RM80 – and the prices are open to negotiation.
Nursery co-owner Ahmad Fauze Maskun said visitors can choose from orchids which grow in a variety of environments.
"Each species (thrives in a) different living (environment).
“We have Vanda and Dendrobium orchids that live in hot weather.
"We also have Butterfly, Snow White and the Dancing Lady.
"These orchids come in different colours – we have yellow, purple and white," he said, adding that they also sell soybean fertiliser, which is recommended for orchids.
Ahmad said visitors to their booth will be able to enjoy special promotion prices – and even haggle.
"(We are open to negotiations on the price). Our focus is to clear our stock, so the more (you) buy, the lower the price you can get," he said.
Visitors will also be given tips and advice on the proper care for orchids, Ahmad said.
