KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today announced changes for six senior police officers effective Jan 22 including the police chiefs of Labuan, Penampang and Kuala Selangor.
Kuala Lumpur Police College Management Science Centre DSP Muhammad Farid Ahmad will be the new police chief of Labuan with the rank of acting Superintendent.
Sipitang CID head ASP Mohd Haris Ibrahim was appointed as Penampang police chief with the rank of acting DSP, said Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police Secretariat Corporate Communications head Datuk Asmawati Ahmad in a statement today.
Meanwhile DSP Md Asri Wahab who is now Kuala Selangor deputy police chief had been appointed as Kuala Selangor police chief with the rank of acting Superintendent from the date.
In Perak, Ipoh Police Air Wing Unit Training Base deputy commandant ACP Hamdan Abas was promoted as commandant of the base.
Bukit Aman Narcotics CID (Enforcement/Prevention/General Policing) principal assistant director ACP Abd Razak Md Zin will take over as Narcotics (Secretariat) principal assistant director at the same department and branch.
The statement also announced Police Air Wing Unit King Air flight division head ACP Nasarudin Abdul Mubin was appointed as commander of the air wing unit. - Bernama
