KUALA LUMPUR: A 35-metre pedestrian link directly connecting Bandar Utama Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station to 1 Utama Shopping Centre was officially opened today.
MRT Corporation Sdn Bhd strategic communications and stakeholders relations director Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah in a statement today said the new link would benefit shoppers and tenants by providing convenient transport and access to the shopping centre and offices in Bandar Utama City Centre.
He said the pedestrian link-bridge built by Bandar Utama City Corporation Sdn Bhd, which directly connects Bandar Utama MRT Station’s Entrance B to Bandar Utama City Centre, would provide a second entry and exit point to the station, in addition to Entrance A which linked the station to 1Powerhouse.
“A regular free shuttle bus service to and from 1 Utama is also provided by 1 Utama for commuters from 1Powerhouse MRT Feeder Bus Terminal where the MRT Park and Ride and other ancillary facilities are housed.
“With the link, it will be easier for shoppers to get to Bandar Utama seamlessly while encouraging more people to use the MRT. This is certainly a win-win situation for all parties involved and the public,” he said. -- Bernama
