KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP) launched its Online Self-Booking System for legal notices pilot project at Balai Berita, today.
The booking system, powered by the German software Ad Suite Market, will enable the legal fraternity to place legal notices in the New Straits Times, Berita Harian and Harian Metro, entirely on their own.
NSTP Chief Commercial Officer Alfian Abu Talib said system, which was still at the test-run stage, will allow advertisers from law firms to schedule publication dates, select desired advertisement size and upload the copy within minutes.
“This is a first of its kind in which we’re allowing legal firms to access and put forward their advertisement online directly into our system through a portal.
“The project is part our company’s business process improvement to meet the needs of our clients, continually enhancing our products for better user experience.
“This test-run is needed before opening it up to the market and hopefully, the system would be in full force by June,” he said, during the launch of the system’s test-run.
He said the booking system was also in line with Media Prima Bhd’s vision of becoming the leading digital-first content and commerce company.
Alfian said the system would save time for legal officers who were constantly chasing for tight deadlines.
“Previously the conventional method required the legal officer to submit their advertisement request physically, then NSTP would key in the advertisement manually into our system.
“However, with this project, a mere simple portal would allow legal companies to put forward their information directly into the booking system, all from the comfort of their workstation,” he said.
Alfian said 26 law firms attended the booking system’s launch and familiarisation session Tuesday to get hands-on experience of the newly introduced system.
To further promote the use of the Online Booking System, NSTP will be organising more workshops for law firms in the next few months.
