SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government will seek immediate solutions to issues surrounding the water industry restructuring in the state.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today said the state government will finalise the water restructuring exercise in the near future.
“Insyaallah (God willing), issues surrounding the water industry will be resolved soon. That is my main agenda, which is to finalise the water restructuring exercise in the state.
“We will soon seek approval from the Federal government to finalise the Selangor water industry restructuring exercise,” he said during a press conference here today after announcing the portfolios of the 10 elected state executive councillors.
On the possibility of a by-election to allow PKR de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be in the Cabinet line-up, Azmin said the government will prioritise the administration of the Federal government first.
“We will give our utmost and strong support to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his deputy Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to lead the country and the Federal government.
