Condolences pour in via social media for baby Adam Raykal

KUALA LUMPUR: Almost one week after the death of the five-month-old Adam Rayqal Mohd Sufi, netizens are still flooding social media with words of condolences and disbelief.

Online platforms have been inundated with messages, with Twitter overflowing with words of solace, and Facebook bursting with photo tributes.

The infant held a special place in the hearts of Malaysians, who reacted to news of his death with an outpouring of grief and words of condolence for Adam’s parents.

Twitter user @leannascarlet said: “A parent should never have to bury their child. My heart still breaks for you, Adam Raykal, having a nephew who is about your age. It really hits home. Alfatihah, child of heaven.”

‏Fellow user @adruceazma said: “I am utterly sad and all bitter on baby Adam Raykal’s incident. No one deserves to die like that, especially a baby.”

Another user @arfa_abdulmuin said: “Ya Allah, Please give strength to Adam Raykal’s parents to accept all this.”

Meanwhile, Facebook user Zeti Ermiena: “Deepest condolence to the family, when I saw the video; heard the mum’s voice screaming astagfirullahalazim, no word can describe this feeling, no word. #iamcryingwithyou #innalillahiwainnailaihirajiun.

Another Facebook user, Ninie Mohd Soif said: “Heaven is surely yours Adam Raykal, Al fatihah.”

Another user, Roslina Husain also shared a touching message: “Aamiin....sleep in peace dear baby Adam Raykal...”

Adam’s parents had on July 3 posted on Facebook pleading for public assistance to look for him after he went missing from his babysitter’s house in Taman Nakhoda, Batu Caves at around 6.30pm.

The police later found Adam’s body in the babysitter’s freezer which had shocked the nation.
