KUALA LUMPUR: A salesgirl was injured on her face, fingers and body after she was attacked by a personal assistant (PA) to controversial cosmetic entrepreneur Nur Sajat while on duty at a shop in a shopping mall in Jalan Ampang here.
The incident was caught on video and went viral on social media since yesterday.
In the 1 minute and 2 seconds video, the PA was seen pulling the salesgirl out of the premise before slapping her repeatedly.
The salesgirl then retaliated and a scream could be heard from the video before the recording abruptly ended.
The salesgirl, who only wanted to be known as Mimi, 30, said she was working before she was approached by the PA and her two friends.
She said the PA entered the premise, grabbed her hand without explanation and pulled her outside to ‘discuss’ things.
“I just followed her as she was pulling my hand. Outside the shop, she suddenly slapped me and claimed that I insulted her.
“She slapped me repeatedly that I didn’t have the chance to speak. Her action prompted me to retaliate,” she said when contacted today.
Mimi said the other two individuals also attacked her before the scuffle was broken off by members of the public.
The three individuals were then brought to the mall’s security office and the PA threatened to do the same thing again.
“I also lost my phone. I’m not sure if it was taken by any of them during the scuffle,” she said, adding that she already lodged a report at Jalan Tun Razak police station.
Nur Sajat, meanwhile responded towards the incident, saying the salesgirl was rude and had no manners.
"You called my PA a dog and said all sorts of things about me. When my PA went for you, you got scared.
"Before you say anything bad about people, or even hate people, take a good look at yourself! After this sayang, try to respect people and do not insult them," Nur Sajat said via Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Dang Wangi District police chief Assistant Commissioner Shaharudin Abdullah when contacted confirmed to have received the report on the incident.
"Further investigation on the incident is ongoing," he said.
