KAJANG: A seven-year-old boy has been reported missing after venturing out of his house at Pangsapuri Seri Dahlia, Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi, here yesterday.
It was learnt that Muhammad Zahiruddin Putra Mohd Fauzi went out to play with his friend at about 8am yesterday.
The victim's mother, Sainih Sunding, 46, said Zahiruddin, the youngest of five siblings, did not go to school yesterday.
She said she realised Zahiruddin went missing after coming home from work that evening.
"I asked my third eldest child about Zahid and he told me Zahid was playing with a friend nearby.
"We tried looking for Zahir around the neighbourhood but to no avail. A neighbour said he saw Zahid going to a shop at noon yesterday and in the evening, another neighbour saw him playing in the neighbourhood. That was the last time he was seen," she said when contacted here today.
Sainih also said she lodged a police report over Zahiruddin's disappearance at the Bandar Seri Putra police station last night.
"I tried looking for him at Bandar Seri Putra but failed.
"He was wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of blue pants. I am worried for his safety because he has not done this before (not coming home)," she said.
An alert on Zahiruddin's disappearance has been sent on Nur Alert today.
Members of the public with any information on Zahiruddin have been urged to contact the nearest police station.
