CMCO in Selangor, KL, Putrajaya: Dine-ins allowed, limited to 2 per table [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya which will be enforced for two weeks from midnight tonight will see dine-ins permitted.

However, Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said only two people would be allowed per table.

Speaking in a press conference that was streamed live this afternoon, Ismail Sabri said businesses are allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm during the CMCO period.

This also applies to restaurants, food trucks, eateries, and grocery stores, among others.

Ismail Sabri meanwhile encouraged restaurants and eateries to promote take-aways, drive-through and home delivery options within the EMCO areas.

Petrol stations are allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm, with those along highways allowed to operate 24 hours.

The minister said public transport services will not be interrupted as all economic sectors are allowed to operate within the period.

However, taxi and e-hailing services are limited to a maximum of two persons only at one time. Delivery services are allowed from 6am to midnight only.

Meanwhile, vehicles ferrying employees are allowed to transport passengers as usual, based on the previous standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Seminars, workshops, courses, practical training, conferences, talks, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and related activities are not allowed to be conducted in CMCO areas for the next two weeks.

Online training are allowed to be carried out and only within the training area.

"Meetings are encouraged to be conducted via video conferencing," he informed.

As for students who are about to take examinations, including those in international schools, they will be allowed to do so.

However, public and private higher learning institutions, training institutes, schools, kindergartens, nurseries and tahfiz centres will be closed throughout the CMCO period.
