Kelantan flood situation improving

RANTAU PANJANG: The flood situation in Kelantan has improved further today with more victims allowed to return home.

According to the state Welfare Department's website, 1,065 flood victims from 389 families are seeking shelter at 14 relief centres in two districts.

It said that as of 10am, 986 of the evacuees were housed at 12 relief centres in Pasir Mas, while 79 at two relief centres in Tanah Merah.

The portal also stated that only Golok river in Rantau Panjang and Kuala Jambu recorded measurements above the danger levels.

Another river in the state was above the warning level while four others were above alert levels, it stated.
