GEORGE TOWN: Media Prima Bhd (Media Prima) has extended invitation to the Penang government to use its numerous platforms to publicise the state's future plan to attract the younger generation to take part in the state's development.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the state government would consider the strategic collaboration in promoting its Penang 2030 Vision, which is set to chart the state's development in the next 10 years.
"The matter was discussed between both parties this afternoon," he said after a meeting with Media Prima top management today.
Media Prima was represented by the group chairman Datuk Dr Syed Hussian Al-Junid, Omnia executive director and chief operations officer Datuk Michael Chan and Omnia sales director Mohd Efendi Omar.
During the hour-long meeting, Syed Hussian detailed the various platforms offered by Media Prima, especially its digital platforms as well as television and radio networks.
Chow said they could start by publicising the Penang 2030 Vision to look at the themes and strategic initiatives via the numerous Media Prima platforms.
Syed Hussian said the chief minister had shared with Media Prima on Penang 2030 Vision.
"We find it very interesting, and we can collaborate to publicise it to the people out there," he added.
The suggestion was well received by Chow, who was attracted to the number of users using Media Prima's communications platforms.
