KUALA LUMPUR: Loyal readers of New Straits Times, Berita Harian and Harian Metro will receive complimentary tea packets from Teh Cap Panglima for every purchase of any three of the print publications until Wednesday.
Sin Seng Yap Shd Bhd (Sin Seng Yap) general manager Edward Tan said the complimentary packs would be inserted within the pages of the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) print publications and distributed to selected 7-Eleven branches in Gombak, Ampang and Cheras.
"There will be 5,000 packs distributed and for every newspaper purchased the reader will receive three Teh Cap Panglima flavours such as lemon, ginger and classic milk tea for them to enjoy at home during the movement control order," he said.
Tan said the collaboration with NSTP was to promote more products by Sin Seng Yap which was previously known through its tea brand and also to recreate the days where people used to hang out with their loved ones during tea time.
"The public must have missed the days enjoying tea time with their families and friends at the mamak eateries and restaurants.
"We hope all NSTP readers will get a chance to try Teh Cap Panglima and hopefully continue to feel connected with the sense of familiarity of the beverage taste despite being at home," he said this after visiting the 7-Eleven branch in Ampang where NSTP newspapers are sold.
Also present at the visit yesterday was NSTP marketing and subscription manager Tengku Kaifimirza Tuan Cherit@ Tengku Hamzah.
Tengku Kaifimirza said the collaboration with Sin Seng Yap was not only to promote the newspapers under NSTP but also to show appreciation to its loyal readers.
"Based on today's reception on the collaboration between NSTP and Sin Seng Yap, there are plans to expand the promotion to more selected 7-Eleven branches around Klang Valley next month," he said.
