Singer Siti Sarah dies [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Siti Sarah Raisuddin, 37, died at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, here, at 5.13am.

Her death was confirmed by her management company, Indigital Music in a brief statement.

"It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we inform Siti Sarah Raisuddin passed away at 5.13am.

"Thank you all who never stopped praying for her and giving her support since she was admitted several days ago," the statement read.

Previously it was reported that Siti Sarah's oxygen level had dropped. She was put in a medically induced coma as doctors had to perform surgery as Siti Sarah was pregnant.

Although premature, Siti Sarah had safely given birth to a baby boy named Ayash Affan.

On July 27, Siti Sarah and her husband Shuib tested positive for Covid-19.

The couple have three other children, Uwais Alqarni, 10, Dzahira Talita Zahra, 8, and Ariq Matin, 6.
